Work Out Your Own Salvation
Philippians 2:12 -
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not
as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling.
In
this post I would like to look at “work out your own salvation.” The time when a person excepts Jesus as his
personal savior, God puts us through a period of sanctification, where we have to grow into a likeness of
Jesus.
Salvation
is a three step process, 1. Jesus dies on the cross to save mankind. 2. each of us has to except Jesus’s death
& resurrection to be saved. 3. We
as a saved person needs to grow to look like Jesus. Our salvation finishes when God calls us home and we receive our
new glorified bodies. This whole
process is what Paul wrote in the above verse, “work out your own salvation.”
