THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH

Good Morning To All:

This post is going to be one of the hardest post that I have ever written but it must be written in my only words. I was Baptist and Confirmed in The Episcopal Church. This was of course back about 35 to 55 years ago. My family went to The Episcopal Church, and I grew to know who Jesus Christ was and why he died on the cross. I stayed with The Episcopal Church until 1988, with a few visits after words, but I basically broke away from the church around 1991. Knowing what I do today to what I knew 30 years ago I would not call The Episcopal Church a Christian Church in any shape or form. St John writes in the book of Revelation 2:4 which reads "4 But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first." I do realize that Jesus was talking with the church at Ephesus, but I have to believe that there is a message to today's church's from church's 2000 years ago, and that The Episcopal Church has turned from Jesus in a big way.
I would like to know look at the reasons why I could not with a clear conscious stay a member of The Episcopal Church. The very first one is the ordination of woman priest or woman bishops in the ministry. I would like to look at Genesis 2:19-22, which reads "19 Now out of the ground the LORD God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. 20 The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. 21 So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22 And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man." If you see in ver 19 that it was the man Adam that named all of God's animals, women was not created at this point and time. If you look in ver 20 you see that God did not see a helper for Adam, Adam was on his own. At this point in time God gave Adam a helper in the form of a woman, Eve. God did not create Eve first he made her last and to be a helper. In a True Christian family the man is the head of the household, if a wife was to be the head of the household then God would have Created Eve first and not Adam. I believe that this is the way it should be in a good Christian church, the man not the woman is suppose to be the head member of a church. The Episcopal Church is not following this man headship roll. The Episcopal Church ordained the first woman priest, Jacqueline Means on January 1, 1977. The second big ordination that I call a major sin was on November 4, 2006 with the promotion of Katharine Jefferts Schori to be the Presiding Bishop in The Episcopal Church. It was bad enough that she became a priest then a bishop in the church not alone the presiding bishop of The Episcopal Church.
Before I give my second reason for leaving I would like to look at Leviticus 20:13 which reads "13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them." My second reason is in a name of Vicki Gene Robinson he is an open gay bishop that was ordained bishop on November 2, 2003. Vicki Gene Robinson is doing wrong in the eyes of God the Father and I would believe that when Jesus Christ comes for the second coming then people like Gene Robinson would get there day in court.
The Episcopal Church is going against God's word the Holy Bible and they are stoping churches that want to teach the bible the way it should be taught. I pray for any church that wants to break a way so they can teach the Holy Bible and not the holy Episcopal Churches way of teaching.
Before I finish I would like to add one verse from the new testament. It is Acts 6:1-6 which reads "1 Now in these days when the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists arose against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution. 2 And the twelve summoned the full number of the disciples and said, "It is not right that we should give up preaching the word of God to serve tables. 3 Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty. 4 But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word." 5 And what they said pleased the whole gathering, and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a proselyte of Antioch. 6 These they set before the apostles, and they prayed and laid their hands on them." If you noticed that all these servents of the early church where all male not female. I leave you with this though, what would the church be like today if all our churches stayed with male servants.

Until later have a good day.

JESUS IS LORD

Good Morning:

I would like to look at Philippians 2:9-11 which reads "9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." I admit that I'm not the perfect Christian but I don't mind saying that I'm a Christian because I believe in my heart that Jesus died on the cross to save us sinners. This is the only reason why I am a Christian, but I'm also glad that I can say that Jesus is LORD, and he will not stop being LORD, because that is the name the God the Father gave him. I have trouble with people that think if your not living the right way then your not going to heaven, but my believe is that I have trouble trying to change my ways to fit other people's life style. This is what I believe and no one can take it away from me, I'll always admit that Jesus is Lord and King over all of this earth.

Until latter have a good day

MY MINISTRY

Good Morning To Everyone:

I would like to look at Mark 16:15 which reads "And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation." Jesus was talking to his disciples at the time but I feel my own calling coming out of this bible verse, and that's what I would like to talk about this morning. Some people would disagreed with how I think but that is something that they have to live with. I have trouble getting out of my apartment at times so I use my blog to share God's good news to anyone that wants to read it. I write my blogs from the heart, and my heart believes everything that the bible tells us, so that is why I use my blog to share the good news of Jesus Christ. I know that's it's not the only way of doing things for God but right know God wants me to do what I can for his church. I'm not a member of any church right know because I disagree with what churches are doing to people, many the lies that they pass around, and because of that I can't go, because I would be accepting what the church as to say is true and I know that it is not, that I why I do my best to pass what I believe from the bible to my blog.

Until latter have a good day

IMMUTABLE OF GOD

Hello to everyone:

I would like to first look at two Bible verses, the first is from Malachi 3:6a which reads "For I the LORD do not change" The second Bible verse is from Psalms 102:25-27, which reads "25 Of old you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.26 They will perish, but you will remain; they will all wear out like a garment.
You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away, 27 but you are the same, and your years have no end."

The Free Dictionary calls Immutable - unchanging through time; unalterable; ageless. I don't know how many times in a 24hr period a human being can change his mind about anything. I know personaly I have trouble sometimes staying focused on one item, so I would not change my mind. But when it comes to God he never changes his mind, what ever he says, goes, he stayes with what is right and that's why he will never change he can't. It goes against who he is, He is a God that knows what to do when it needs to be done.

Until later have a good day.

GOD IS HOLY

Hello to all of you:

Today I would like to look at God's Holiness. The Bible Verse for today is 1 Samuel 2:2 which reads: 2 "There is none holy like the LORD;there is none besides you; there is no rock like our God." Samuel mentions that God is the only one that is Holy and he is right about that, God is the only one that is Holy.

In Nelson's 3 in 1 Bible Reference we find the definition of Holy as, uniquely divine; separated from sin; morally perfect; consecrated to God. I've talked on the goodness of God and now I'm writing on the Holiness of God, well in my book they both come hand in hand, God is that type of God. God is always good and holy 24 hrs a day 7 days a week, if he wasn't this way we Christians could not live in a world that is run by Satan, without God's help. Without God's Holiness, our Unholiness would be unchecked for a very long time. Thanks be to God for his Holiness.

Until later have a good day.

GOODNESS OF GOD

Good Day To All Of You:

I would like to start off by looking at Psalms 145:9 which reads 9 The LORD is good to all,
and his mercy is over all that he has made. At Dictionary.com the definition for Goodness is "Moral Excellence." God is the only one that can be Moral Excellence because of who he is. God is a Spirit that can not stand sin, we all know that sin in a person's life is all what is bad, never good in that person. Let's look at Romans 3:9b-12, which reads For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, 10 as it is written:

"None is righteous, no, not one;
11 no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one."
As you see from Paul's writing that no one is good, and that is what Sin is, and that's why God can't like sin in his life, but we have a savior in Jesus Christ the only one that could save us. God is so Good that he gave Jesus over to die on the cross so we can again be good in God's eyes, with out Jesus we would be nothing.

Until later have a very Good day.

FOREKNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Good Morning Everyone:

I'm always amazed at what God our Father knows, to tell you the truth he does always knows more than I will ever know. So for today's post I want to look at the Knowledge of God.

In Nelson's 3in1 Bible Reference there are two words that I want to look at the first is Foreknown: To know ahead of time. The second word is Foreknowledge of God: God's knowledge projected into the future.

We all know that God knows what's going to happen before it happen's, and for some reason he lets it happen. He lets it happen for different reasons, sometimes its to teach us a lesson that he's always there when we need his help.

I want to look at Genesis 3: 7-13, which is 7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.

8 And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the LORD God called to the man and said to him, "Where are you?" 10 And he said, "I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself." 11 He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?" 12 The man said, "The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate." 13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this that you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

I want to look at this Bible verse for a minute. In it God calls out to find out where Adam and Eve where to be found. Whey do you think he did this, he did this not because he didn't know where they where he always knew where they where and what they did. No God wanted Adam and Eve to admit that they did wrong, but we all know that God knew this ahead of time. This is how God works with us, he knows us inside and out but he still Loves us.

Until latter May God Bless this day.

FAITHFULNESS GOD

Good Morning:

I would like to look at Psalm 89:33 which reads "but I will not remove from him my steadfast love or be false to my faithfulness." YourDictionary.com gives the definition for faithfulness as "Faithfulness or devotion to a person, a cause, obligations, or duties:" One of God's characteristic is that he will never change, or go back on his word. When God promises something that something will happen sooner or latter. We all know that God cannot be around sin because he will not change so he could be around sin and be around more people. This is not God and he will never be this way.

I would like to know look at the characteristic of Abraham, we know that he had a choose, to either do the will of God or be in big trouble. Let's look at Genesis 22:1-14, which reads "22:1 After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here am I.” 2 He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” 3 So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and his son Isaac. And he cut the wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. 4 On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from afar. 5 Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; I and the boy will go over there and worship and come again to you.” 6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son. And he took in his hand the fire and the knife. So they went both of them together. 7 And Isaac said to his father Abraham, “My father!” And he said, “Here am I, my son.” He said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” 8 Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went both of them together.

9 When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built the altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son. 11 But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here am I.” 12 He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.” 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

God's wants us to be like Abraham and take the right path to obedience to God, then God will always be faithful to us, and keep his promises.

Until latter have a good day.

ETERNAL GOD

Good Morning to Everyone:

I would like to look at two words today, the first is ETERNAL and the second is BEGINNING. At Dictionary.com the definition for eternal is "without beginning or end; lasting forever; always existing ( opposed to temporal): eternal life. " Now I want to look at today's Bible verse, Psalms 90:1,2 " 1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place
in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God." This Bible verse reminds me that God has always been around and that he will always be around, that's why he is called ETERNAL.
The second word that I want to look at today is BEGINNING. The definition from Dictionary.com is "the point of time or space at which anything begins: the beginning of the Christian era; the beginning of the route" Today's Bible verse is Genesis 1:1 which reads: "1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." If the word BEGINNING is a reference point of time when God created the heavens and the earth, then God has to be ETERNAL, so he could create the heavens and the earth.
God Bless everyone this morning.

EVIL WAYS

Good Morning to Everyone:

I would like to start this post by looking at topics from the last 7 posts that I wrote. We started off by finding out why Jesus is called "King of kings & Lord of lords." I pointed out that God the Father gave his son that because Jesus died on the cross for our sins and he is living today at the right hand of his father in heaven.
My next post I mentioned that Jesus is a different type of King, not the type that you would think of. Jesus's rule would be one of a servant and not as a dictatory. Jesus's rules would be there to protect us and not hurt us.
The next post was part 2 of the "King of king & Lord of lord" post, which I talked about Jesus does want us to follow 2 rules or commands. They are "You shall Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all you mind." The second rule is "You shall love you neighbor as yourself."
I then talked about in the next post about being a very tall Light House. A Light House that a person can see you coming at a faraway distance. I mentioned that you should help out other people that needs help, physically or mentally we can always help out someone that needs help, and we should be there to help. I believe that when you help someone you feel good about yourself so that light in the Light House will never go out.
Jesus wanted us to be a Light House, from that post we then here from God the Father, he wants us to become holy, like his son is. I mentioned that becoming holy is to separate ourself from everyday life, and its problems.
My next post Jesus gave us a prayer to follow called the Lord's Prayer, I believe Jesus was helping us to become holy, like himself. The first thing we must do is always stay in touch with our Heavenly Father, and by keeping in touch with God he will see us through a bad day.
My last post I mentioned that we must read and study God's Bible. We read the bible and we study different topics in the bible, so we can grow, the more we study and grow the holier we get.
The very first album recorded by Santana had a song in it called "Evil Ways", the first 2 lines goes like this: "You've got to change your evil ways, baby, before I stop lovin' you. You've got to change baby, and every word that I say is true." Every time I here this song it sounds like Jesus himself is telling me that I should change my Evil Ways or I would be perminetly lost. We all have a choose, to either change and work at being holy, with God's help or we can keep on our merry way, fare from God and everything that he has for us.
I do pray that we can all change and become holy like God wants us to.

Until latter have a good day.

MILK INSTEAD OF MEAT

Good Afternoon To Everyone:
I would like to take a few minutes and look at 1 Corinthians 3:1-4, which reads, 1 But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. 2 I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, 3 for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? 4 For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not being merely human?
When I read the letters of St Paul, I don't just read them as letters sent to churches that he went to visit and teach at, but to also help us Christians grow in Christ, and that's what I'm reading this as. When I read that Paul fed the church with milk and not solid food, then I read that as St Paul telling us to read small amounts of the Bible and learn from that before moving on to other small parts of the Bible. By reading and studying small parts you will understand more then just studying the whole Bible from front cover to back cover. When we study God's word then we get to know more about God and that's what's going to help us to stand up to Satan in this world, and it also helps us to get closer to God and the closer we get the more Holy we get. I pray that you study God's word as milk and grow with more study into solid food.
Until later, I hope that everyone is doing well.

THE LORD'S PRAYER

Good Morning To You All:

This mornings Bible verse comes from Matthew 6:9-14; which reads: 9 Pray then like this:

"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

We all know this pray as The Lord's Prayer, because Jesus gave it to us to use as an example how we should prayer to God our Father in Heaven. What I believe Jesus is saying is that we should praise and worship God in prayer, but we should take the time to tell God what's on our mind, good or bad. Remember The Lord's Prayer is the best example of talking with God, but there are some days that I just want to sit down and say God, can I just talk to you for a second. That's far from The Lord's Prayer. Let us get God's attention by calling upon God for who he is God, after we get God's attention then God wants us to tell him what's every on our mind, by talking to him everyday we strength the bond that we have with God the Father Through his Son Jesus. This is why at the end of our time talking to him we ask for all of these things that we just talked about in Jesus name. Our bonding to God our Father is the 2nd stage of being holy, by staying close to God in Prayer.
I wish all of you a good day.

CALLED TO BE HOLY

Good Morning To Everyone:
This mornings Bible verse is taken from the First Epistle of Peter first chapter verses 13-16, which read 13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, 15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."
In the next few weeks I want to look at what it means, and what it takes to be Holy. Lets first figure out what Holy means. "Nelson's 3 - in 1 Bible Reference Companion" tells us that Holy means "uniquely divine; separated from sin;morally perfect; consecrated to God." I don't know about the rest of you but I'm far from being morally perfect. Let's look at 2 Timothy 4:7 which reads: 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
St Paul toward the end of his earthly ministry was comparing his life, with all of its ups and downs, with a big race. That race was to keep his faith and stay closer to God then we are right know. Paul won the race, because he went home to be with God when he died.
Next week I'll add part 2 to this post, but until then I do hope you have a good day.

CHRISTIAN LIGHT HOUSES

Hello to everyone, I hope your all doing well today.

Today's Bible verse comes from Matthew 5:14-16, which reads; 14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
When I read these verses over and over again, they remind me of a great big light house, ones that overlook large cliffs, so ships will not come a shore when they see the light shine in there direction. We all know that light houses where built to help fishing boats navigate the large cliffs, at the sea shores. We all remember that God created man in His image, when Jesus returns for the second coming, there will be no more need for electricity, Jesus will supply this with his radiant beauty. Jesus wants us to be a shinning light house, when we help our neighbor like we were talking in the last post, then we will be doing one of two commands that Jesus wants us to always remember and practice. I do hope that your light is on when you call a sick neighbor, or ask if he needs a few cans of Green Beans.
I pray for all lighthouses to be on and bright as the Sun in Heaven.

JESUS RULES WITH 2 COMMANDMENTS

Good Morning to everyone:
I would like to look at a few Bible verses from the Gospel of Matthew, 22: 34-40, which reads 34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. 36"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" 37 And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets."
In our last post we looked at the servant job of Jesus our King. This post I want to look at his ruling side of his job. Yes he is still a King and he still wants his people to follow a few rules of the land, so that we can all get along. In the Old Testament God gave the Isrealites 10 commandments that they needed to follow. In today's world ruled by Jesus he wants us to follow only 2 simple commandments. The first one is to Love and Respect God the Father for who he is and what he has done, to save us. The second commandment is to Love our neighbors as our selves, to make sure that our neighbors are ok we need to do anything we can to help them day or night.
What is so simple to live under a servant King that will take care of all our needs, all he asking is to follow these two commandments. My wife and I are very fortunate to live in a neighborhood that we all check up on one another, if we know someone is sick we check up on them with a phone call or a short visit at the front door. If we know a person needs a can or two of green beans, we'll be happy to pass it along. This is the type of caring to Jesus wants us to do for each other, not just today but down the road, where every we live. I have no problems in Loving a God that wants to see us well and protected from all harm, and I also have no problem in passing a few cans of green beans to my neighbors when they need it. Remember on these 2 commandments hangs all the laws.
I do hope you all have a good day taking care of your neighbors.

King of Kings & Lord of Lords part 2

Good Morning:
Today's Bible verse again comes from Revelations 19:16, which reads: 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.
On my very last post we looked at why Jesus is called King of kings & Lord of lords. Today I want to see what type of King that I believe he is. When I think of Kings and Lords I think of an Absolute Monarchy where the king rules his country like a dictator, with an iron fist. The king makes up all the rules and the people has to do what the king wants to stay alive.
I'm happy to report that I believe Jesus monarchy is much more different. I hope you remember that Jesus went to the cross as a innocent servant, so we can be all saved. We all know that he is sitting on his throne on the right side of God the Father, and while he is sitting on the throne, he is helping all of is brothers and sisters that are a member of his family. Yes Jesus is still doing a job of a servant, when someone is hunger, or hurting, or lonely, Jesus is always there to lend a hand not as a ruler but as a servant. Can you a magin if Jesus is doing this type of work today, what type of work he would do when he comes back for his second coming. Jesus monarch will be here to help people not hurt them. I praise God for Jesus and his Monarchy.
Until the next time I do hope you all have a good day in Jesus.

King of Kings and Lord of Lords

Starting with this post this blog will with God's help be going in a new direction. Today's Bible verse is from Revelations 19:16 which reads "16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords." I would like to start why Jesus is called "King of kings and Lord of lords." The main reason is that he died on the cross to save All man kind. The second reason is from the Bible verse Luke 20:42 b,43 which reads "'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.' I'm happy to report that Jesus Christ, the person that died on the cross, and was raised from the dead 3 days latter, is very much alive and sitting at God the Fathers right side. Jesus is the only person that can be and will always be called "King of kings and Lord of lords."
God bless all of you.

A NEW BEGINNING!

Hello To Everyone
This evenings Bible verse is John 1:1-4, which reads:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
I would like to share with all of you why I'm calling this post A New Beginning! You see God gave me a new beginning this past weekend, and I would like to share it with you. It all started last Thursday April 23, 2011. I got deathly sick, so sick that I went into a comatose state, so bad my wife had to call the ambulance to rush me to the ER. I was in the ER for a good 8hrs before they took me to a hospital room. The next morning I found out that I had a bad bought with Cellulitis, and almost lost my Physical Life. Everything was going along fine with getting me well enough that I could come home with new medication. Saturday my the hospital doctor came in for a visit, he told me that he could possible send me home on Sunday May 1st. The problem the doctor was having problems with the last blood workup, it was showing WHISKERS in my blood test and he wanted to find out where it was coming from before he sent me home. Sunday afternoon final got there and the doctor came in and said we found where the WHISKERS came from and if I wanted to go home he would go out and do the paper work so I can leave. I said thank you Dr and thank you God. This is why I call this a new beginning, and in the next few weeks and months these post will show a change in that new beginning. So I do hope you return and find out how it would be should be to live a New Beginning.

WAS IT ALL WORTH IT?

Good Morning:

We all know that today is Easter Sunday, and because it is I would like to look at a very long Bible verse. They start at Matthew 27:1 & 2, 11-66; 28:1-10, which reads:
1 When morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death. 2 And they bound him and led him away and delivered him over to Pilate the governor. 11 Now Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Jesus said, "You have said so." 12 But when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he gave no answer. 13 Then Pilate said to him, "Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?" 14 But he gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed.
The Crowd Chooses Barabbas
15 Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release for the crowd any one prisoner whom they wanted. 16 And they had then a notorious prisoner called Barabbas. 17 So when they had gathered, Pilate said to them, "Whom do you want me to release for you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?" 18 For he knew that it was out of envy that they had delivered him up. 19 Besides, while he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, "Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered much because of him today in a dream." 20 Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. 21 The governor again said to them, "Which of the two do you want me to release for you?" And they said, "Barabbas." 22 Pilate said to them, "Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?" They all said, "Let him be crucified!" 23 And he said, "Why, what evil has he done?" But they shouted all the more, "Let him be crucified!"
Pilate Delivers Jesus to Be Crucified
24 So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of this man’s blood; see to it yourselves." 25 And all the people answered, "His blood be on us and on our children!" 26 Then he released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, delivered him to be crucified.
Jesus Is Mocked
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the governor’s headquarters, and they gathered the whole battalion before him. 28 And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, 29 and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!" 30 And they spit on him and took the reed and struck him on the head. 31 And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes on him and led him away to crucify him.
The Crucifixion
32 As they went out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. They compelled this man to carry his cross. 33 And when they came to a place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull), 34 they offered him wine to drink, mixed with gall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it. 35 And when they had crucified him, they divided his garments among them by casting lots. 36 Then they sat down and kept watch over him there. 37 And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, "This is Jesus, the King of the Jews." 38 Then two robbers were crucified with him, one on the right and one on the left. 39 And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads 40 and saying, "You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross." 41 So also the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying, 42 "He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 43 He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. For he said, 'I am the Son of God.'" 44 And the robbers who were crucified with him also reviled him in the same way.
The Death of Jesus
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" that is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" 47 And some of the bystanders, hearing it, said, "This man is calling Elijah." 48 And one of them at once ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine, and put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink. 49 But the others said, "Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him." 50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.

51 And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. 52 The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, 53 and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. 54 When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!"

55 There were also many women there, looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him, 56 among whom were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Joseph and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
Jesus Is Buried
57 When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus. 58 He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him. 59 And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud 60 and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the entrance of the tomb and went away. 61 Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, sitting opposite the tomb.
The Guard at the Tomb
62 The next day, that is, after the day of Preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered before Pilate 63 and said, "Sir, we remember how that impostor said, while he was still alive, 'After three days I will rise.' 64 Therefore order the tomb to be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples go and steal him away and tell the people, 'He has risen from the dead,' and the last fraud will be worse than the first." 65 Pilate said to them, "You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make it as secure as you can." 66 So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.
1 Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4 And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. 5 But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you." 8 So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me."

My question to you today is Was It All Worth It? Was Jesus trial, his mocking, his whipping, and all the agony that he went through just to be risen on Easter Sunday. Jesus said in the Gospel of John, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Because Jesus did go through all the pain and agony before his death on the cross and then his death did come. But after his was buried he rose from the dead, because of all of this we have eternal life with God up in heaven, but we can also talk to God today down here on earth. I don't know about you but yes it was worth what Jesus had to go through so his believers would be saved.

Until latter have a very good Easter

Another Reason For Palm Sunday

We all know that today is Palm Sunday, when Jesus entered into Jerusalem, the beginning of the week of his dying on the cross to save us sinners. But I want to talk to you another reason why we shall worship the Lord Jesus.
Today's bible verse is from Matthew 6:28-34, which reads "28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." I would like to share with you a story about somethings that my wife Brenda and I have been going through in the last 8 months or so. It all started last fall, around the end of October, we had the chance to move from an apartment with a combination tub shower, to a apartment with just a shower, we grabbed at it as soon as we heard about it. It still took another month or so before we could move in but things started to fall into place, getting the other person to leave the apartment to getting help from some nice people when we needed there help to move they where there for us. Know it's in the middle of April, and the shower was a God send. A few weeks ago my upper arm around the ball joint where the arm meets the shoulder, started to act up from you know who Arthur. Yes I hate to admit that I have Arthristis in parts of my body, but lets look at the whole picture for a minute. God knew about what Arthur was going to do with Brenda and myself, so God intervened and got us the new apartment with the walk in shower, he also helped in making all the aragements in helping us to move in just before Christmas. Some people might not look at this as anything that God could not handle but my point is he knew what was going to happen and he knew how to take care of the problem for us. Like today's bible verse tells us let God worry about the little things, I know he did for Brenda and myself.
Until latter I do hope you all have a good Palm Sunday.

Psalms Reading For March 24, 2011

Good Morning. Today's bible reading is from Psalms 29:1,2:

1 Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings,
ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.

I want to take a minute and add something about myself in this post. The verse you just read talks about worshiping and ascribing to God. But I want to add my belief system to that verse. You see I believe that God is more to me then just a spirit that lives miles away from us. I believe that he is hear, living with everyone who calls upon his name. His son Jesus died on the cross so we can talk to his father God anytime that we need to, He's always been there for me when I say I need to talk to you God. he's right there always ready to listen to what I have to say. This is what I believe and without that believe I couldn't worship God like it states in today's bible verse. I hope you all have a good day and don't forget to talk to God when you can, he's always there for you also.

Psalms Reading For March 22, 2011

Today's reading is from Psalms 139:1-4 which is:
1 O LORD, you have searched me and known me!
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3 You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.

Our Praises To GOD!

I know that it's been awhile since I last posted but I've been under a lot of stress for sometime. Resently I've been reading Psalms to my morning Quiet Time, this morning I read from Ps. 105:1-4 which goes like this,
1 Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples!
2 Sing to him, sing praises to him;
tell of all his wondrous works!
3 Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice!
4 Seek the LORD and his strength;
seek his presence continually!

I have trouble at times remembering how good God is to all of us, not just to my self but to all of us. Todays reading reminded me of that. It also reminded me that we have to go to him for our strength, every day. If we keep on remembering all that he had done, and all that he will do, then how hard is it to ask for his strength, hell give it to you when you ask for it. For my self I keep forgetting that I can't keep on going without looking up to God for His Grace. So if your like me, please keep in mind that you have to keep on talking to God and giving thanks for his Grace.
