A Red Blanket

          I want to start this post by taking about my body and my blanket.  I’m a real live person with a normal body temperature of 98.6°.  When I go to sleep my body temperature goes down 1 or 2 degrees, when this happens and I wake up I always feel cold.  I'm the type of person that when I get cold I put on a blanket, which when my body heat leaves my body, it hits the blanket and sends it back to my body to keep me warm.

 

I also think that the air around me is cold and not to warm at all.  When a person is warm he has life inside him, when a person gets to cold then that person could die.  If we think of who is in control of the air right know that would be satan, the "prince of the air".  Satan wants a person dead, when we are dead our bodies get's cold and starts breaking down.  This process of death is what satan is all about, to see how many people he can kill before his time is up.

          I would like to look at another type of blanket, one that is Blood Red in color, a blanket that would never make us cold again in this life time.  This blanket is given to a saved person when he excepts the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the cross.  I pray to God that everyone that reads this post will put on that Blood Red Blank of Jesus Christ.

Change In Plans
1 Corinthians 13:8 -  Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

    I want to talk to you about 3 topics which is in this verse, prophecies, tongues, and knowledge.  Let's start with prophecies, unless the prophecy comes from God, then the prophecy is not a true prophecy.  A prophet can't see into the future.  This is also true to fortunetellers, most of mans's prophecies come from satan, and not from God.  Satan can not tell the future, but the good God in heaven can, and has in the bible.  To see an example of a true prophet then read from the old testament book of Daniel, or other books like Isaiah, or Ezekiel.
    The second topic is tongues, or speaking in tongues.  On the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit gave the apostles the ability to speak in tongues.  This was given, so the apostles could talk to more people in there own languages.  Tongues have ceased now a days, because its easy to learn different languages in school.  The Holy Spirit had to teach the apostles the different languages that was not normally used in Israel at that time.
    The third and last topic in this verse is knowledge.  I believe that Paul was talking about the knowledge that we get everyday from civilization, news, education, etc.  Knowledge comes from satan, if we want any types of smarts it should be from wisdom from the Bible, God's word.
    Personal observation, God's wisdom comes in two different areas of the Bible, the apostles wrote for the Jewish people at the time, about the true Messiah Jesus Christ.  Paul wrote the second part for the church and how to live in Grace.  Grace is a period that God gave his true believers, since Paul started writing his epistles.  Not every Christian believes in Paul's teaching, because they don't believe in a period of grace.  I guess they believe that they have to do more in there life to receive God's grace.  All a person has to do to gain God's wisdom, is by reading the Bible.

God On Earth

1 Corinthians 6:19 - Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

John 14:2 - In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

When a person truly excepts Jesus as their savior and are saved, then the Holy Spirit comes into our spirit and starts to take over our personal spirit.  While we are growing in the Holy Spirit, so he can take over our old spirit.  Our bodies belong to God, yes when Jesus died on the cross he bought back our bodies so the Holy Spirit can live in us, and take care of us until we reach heaven when we die.

In John 14:2 Jesus talks about many mansions in his fathers house.  I would think that God's mansions are our personal bodies where the Holy Spirit lives.  Jesus is preparing our bodies so that 100% of God can live in us at all times.  When the Holy Spirit comes into our bodies to live He is working to change us to be like Jesus in everything we do.  During this process God is living in side of us, with everything we do, or everywhere we go God is with us day and night.

Let's think this out for a minute, when God created the heavens and the earth and put Adam and Eve on earth, God Himself was walking with them in the garden.  God 's spirit was living inside of Adam and Eve, like God planned it to be.  When satan came to tempt Eve, life in the garden all changed.  When Eve took the temptation, satan lived inside of  Adam and Eve and the earth so he could do what he wanted for a short time.  God on the other hand had to leave the earth and take care of Adam and Eve from heaven.  Satan had his way for about 4,000 years of destroying God's own property.  After 4,000 years Jesus came on the picture to die on the cross and to buy back all of God's creation from satan.  At that time the Holy Spirit came to live in all true believers that got saved for God to own and take care of again.  All of this happened so God himself could walk the face of the earth and take care of it the way he planned for it to happen.

When God lives in a human being that he created, then God is walking the face of the earth, and he is in control, then and only then will God's true plans will take place.  Once and for all we will live in God and God will live in us.  We are God's mansions here on his house, called earth.

I want everyone to know that I was a true temple for God to use.  God did the writing I just did the typing on the computer.  This is what is meant when the bible states that we live in God and God lives in us.  I hope that this post will help more people live in God so God can live in all of us.

Work Out Your Own Salvation

Philippians  2:12 - Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

          In this post I would like to look at “work out your own salvation.”  The time when a person excepts Jesus as his personal savior, God puts us through a period of  sanctification, where we have to grow into a likeness of Jesus. 

          Salvation is a three step process, 1. Jesus dies on the cross to save mankind.  2. each of us has to except Jesus’s death & resurrection to be saved.  3. We as a saved person needs to grow to look like Jesus.  Our salvation finishes when God calls us home and we receive our new glorified bodies.  This whole process is what Paul wrote in the above verse, “work out your own salvation.”

Believe In Your Heart!

Romans 10:9-11 -  9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

          In verse 9 we read that if we "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."  Gods plan for our salvation is in two parts, the first part was that Jesus died on the cross, he was buried, and God raised him up 3 days latter.  This first part was on the grace of God in his plan.  The second part of the plan is put on use humans, we have to believe that Jesus did died, that he was buried, and that he was raised from the dead 3 days later, and that he is alive today living next to his father in heaven.  That believe has to be on our spiritual heart, if its not then we could not attempt at becoming saved.  Then and only then, when we have it on our heart, then we can finish our part by sharing the good news with other people.

Earth Groans

Romans 8:19-22 NKJV -  19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
    I would like to look at verse 22 of this passage, where it reads "the whole creation groans."  When God created this earth, it was filled with grass, trees, and plants, just like the Garden of Eden.  God wanted the earth to be like the way he made it.  Because of Adam & Eve's disobedience the earth was changed for ever.
     The time after Adam & Eve man started to grow and think, and they started to build.  They build towns and cities, where they could live and take care of them selves.  This type of living went on for about 1800 years, when God told Noah to build an ark to live in during a time of judgment on the people of the earth.  After the flood, God said to himself he would no longer judge the earth by one major flood.
    In Genesis 11:1-9, God had to judge his people again.  This time it was at the tower of Babel, where all the people of the earth wanted to build a tower to reach into the sky.  God had to destroy the tower and scatter his people so they would not join together to build another tower.
    Since the fall of man, humans have tried to civilize God's creations.  The definition of civilize comes from dictionary.com reads "to bring out of a savage, uneducated, or rude state; make civil; elevate in social and private life; enlighten; refine.  Let's look at some ways man has tried to refine other men.  They started by building towns with wooden structures, using trees as lumber, and digging up dirt for a foundation to put the trees to make the structures.  They also used some of the trees for paper to write instructions on during the civilization processes.  Man also blew up mountains for roadways to drive on.  Man has built tall building to help in the process of becoming a civilized state.  Man has also used other men as slaves to do all of the dirty work in there civilized state. 
    I can see why God's creations groan, for as much stuff that was done in the name of civilization, something bad had to happen to this land, or the people on the land to make civilization work.  Civilization is not a pretty picture to God when he looks down on his creations.
    In closing I would like to look at the road of life.  A person starts walking down a narrow road, he comes to a "Y" in the road, by choosing the left you go down a wider road called civilization and death.  If you go to the right at the "Y" you will go down a long narrow road, that ends in life for you and anyone that goes down that road.  I could only speak for myself, but I would choose the right road to a better life with God.

Living For The Good Of God

 Romans 8:28 New King James Version (NKJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 

 I would like to look at the words "all things work together for good to those who love God".   I believe that if  we live everyday doing what is good, it should be done for the good for God and not ourselves.  If we love God, then what ever we do should be good for God.
    I would like to share with you what has been happening to me.  I'm a 60 year old man that loves God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, very much.  I weight around 400 lbs, because of my weight problems I have trouble getting around.  I mostly use a wheel chair to get around, and I can't get in the family van like I use to, so I don't leave the apartment to much any more.  I don't go to church any more, but I do keep up with my quiet time, and my reading and studying the bible.  I can do a few things around the apartment to help my wife that has her own health issues.  I fix my own breakfast, and help unload the dishwasher when we run it.
    I feel that as long as I can keep going on a daily basis, with God's help then I'm doing them for the good for God, but I must have his help or else what I do is not for God but for myself, that is why I need to stay writing on my blog because God is helping me write, for good.  I use my blog to share what God has taught me, by sharing what God has taught me, I'm doing good for his will.  Some days I feel that what ever I do isn't good enough for God, but with his help and I put my heart in it is always good for God.
    I do hope that we can all live for God and not ourselves.

How To De-stress

Matthew 14:14-23 -  14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. 15 When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.”

16 But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

17 And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.”

18 He said, “Bring them here to Me.” 19 Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. 20 So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. 21 Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

22 Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. 23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.

          On the last 2 posts I wrote about 2 different types of stress that a Christian person goes through.  I would know like to look at one way of working through Satan's stress. In today's bible passages we see Jesus having a busy day teaching, healing the sick, and feeding a gathering of 5,000 men.  I would a believe that by the end of the day Jesus was very tired.  We see this in the fact that he sent his apostles across the lake in a boat, and he told the crowds to go home to rest.  When Jesus was alone he then went up to the mountain to talk to his father, and gain the strength he needed to end his day.

          When we go to God the Father in prayer, we are giving him all of our cares, and troubles we have.  By letting  go of theses troubles we are cleaning our soul from the burdens of life.  When we give God all of our burdens that gives us a peace that we need to sleep.  Then when we wake our soul is refreshed with a new energy than we had before going to God in prayer. 

          I suggest we all give our troubles to God the Father, and see how we feel after words.  I do hope that all of you have a good day.

God's Stress

Matthew 6:9 - In this manner, therefore, pray:Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.


Romans 8:15-17 - 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.


John 20:17 - 17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’”



Matthew 6:25-34 - 25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.



James 1:2-4 - 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.




First of all I would like to look at who God is to the Born Again Christian.  Our first bible verse is Matthew 6:9, which is the first account of the Lord's prayer.  When we pray to God we pray to God as OUR FATHER.  If we could not call him father then Jesus would have started the prayer differently.
    The second verse that I want to look at is Romans 8:15-17.  Those verses are talking about the Holy Spirit mixing with our spirit in our body to be called son of God.  As son's of God we are adopted by God the Father as his children.  I have not had a human father for 55 years of my life, so as a son of God, I can look at God as a different person.
    The Third verse I would like to look at is John 20:17.  Jesus is outside his tomb where he was buried for 3 days and 3 nights, he told Mary to go tell the brethren that he was going to his father and there father, and his God and there God.  What Jesus was saying as a brother in Christ we all have the same Father and the Same God in Heaven.
    I would now like to look at Matthew 6:25-34.  Here we see that Jesus is talking about worrying.  As adopted children of God the Father we should let him take care of the Big Stuff.  All we have to be concerned about is doing our best to stay in touch with our heavenly father.  God knows what we need and how and when to see fit that we get what we need.
    The next verse I want to look at is James 1:2-4.  James is talking about the different trials in life that a Christian must go through to grow in their faith.  We know that God allows Satan to tempt us and how we react is our trials of life that God puts us under.  These trials are God's stress points to test our faith in him and him alone.
    In closing I would like to add that what I can see is that God's stress is our everyday life that we have to go through to pass God's trials in our lives.  God didn't say life was going to be easy but as a loving Father that God is, He will get us through it.  If you think that you have a hard life than I suggest you read the Old Testament book of Job.
    I pray that these posts will encourage to read your bible to get more answers that God the Father can help you with.

Satin's Stress

Satin's Stress

 

 Genesis 3:1-8 - Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’”
4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.


James 1:12,13 - 12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.


I would like to look at these verses to see how Satin put stress into a person's life.  In Gen 3:1-8 we see Satin tempting Eve to not eat any tree of the garden or you would die, (this is man's first temptation).  Eve was correct in saying that all trees are good to eat from except the one in the middle of the garden.  If Adam and Eve ate of this tree they would know the difference between right and wrong like God does.
    We all know that Eve ate the fruit from this one tree and knew the difference between right and wrong.  Eve then pushed the fruit on Adam so he would know the difference also, (this is the start of man being pushed into doing something that he felt was wrong).
    Let's look at James 1:12-13.  If we stand up to the temptation and don't let Satin push us into doing wrong, then God will bless us.  Temptation is a sin, and seeing that God could not work with sin, God would not tempt us, for no reason.  When a person that knows the real different between right and wrong, and he gives in to the temptation, which is against God then by doing this Satin is winning and we are loosing.  When a person looses then I call that Satin's Stress, any time we play with temptation will bring on a period of stress than any normal person can not handle.
    I have this type of stress in my life, I use the internet to pay my bills, and to do some of my bible study on line.  I'm a Christian that fights with not using the internet to pay my bills, but I weight in around 400lbs, and it's not easy for my to get around in any weather, so I just stay home and talk to God and keep up with my bible studies.

GOD'S WAY

Good Morning Everyone:

I would like to look at 2 sets of Bible verses, the first is Numbers 20:7-12 which reads - 7 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 8 “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.” 9 So Moses took the rod from before the Lord as He commanded him.

10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock; and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for you out of this rock?” 11 Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.

12 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

The second Bible verse comes from Deuteronomy 34:1-4, which reads - 34 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is across from Jericho. And the Lord showed him all the land of Gilead as far as Dan, 2 all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Western Sea,[a] 3 the South, and the plain of the Valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar. 4 Then the Lord said to him, “This is the land of which I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not cross over there.”  From this first set of Bible verses we see that God gave Moses a set of instructions to follow about getting the water out of the rock, and Moses sinned and did what he wanted to get the water from the rock his way not God's way.  At that point he sinned in front of God, so God had to use Moses as an example of what happens when a person sins against God.  God showed Moses the promise land but because Moses sin God could not allow Moses to touch the promise land.

The second set of Bible verses is found in 1 Timothy 2:9-12 which is - 9 in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10 but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. 11 Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. 12 And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. I bring this verse up to you because we all know that the bible is God's instruction to man kind, if it's 2,000 years ago or today an instruction is an instruction.  I also believe that a sin is still a sin, turning away from God, maybe the Epesians had the same type of sins 2,000 years ago as the modern church of today does.  The modern church of today wants to turn there back on God, in teaching social science, and not the true bible the way it was written.  I believe that the modern church of today is going to be like Moses and not touch the promised land.  I do believe that the promised land that we have to believe in is HEAVEN because it is promised by God that the true believers will live there with him and he will take care of us  there.

In closing I would like to add that the early church when it was started on the day of Pentacost was not called Christianity like it is today, but it was called the way, because they followed God's way of life.  I am giving up on Christianity for The Way becauseI want to follow God's way in believing the Bible, and not man's way.  The modern church believe that by teaching social science they will see the promised land, I say that the modern church will not be allowed in the promised land, but they will see it by reading God's word from the book of Revelation.

The Greatest Commandment

Hello to Everyone:

I would like to look at Matthew 22:37-40, which reads - 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”  In the last 2 or 3 weeks I've been looking at why and how we are to follow Jesus on a daily basis.  In today's post I would like to add another reason why we should follow Jesus's teaching.  The very first commandment is that we should Love God the Father with all your heart, soul, and mind.  In anything that we do our say should be to Love God for who he is and what he has done for us, by following Jesus's teaching we will show our love for God in that special way of becoming like his son Jesus.
    The second commandment is as important as the first.  We are to love ourselves and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.  If we love our neighbor we will make sure that are neighbors are safe and secury.  If our neighbor asks for a bit to eat we feed him if he needs a ride to the hospital we make sure he gets there.  Anything that we can do to help our neighbor to show him how mush we care for him is the theme of this second commandment.  But I do think that when we our helping our neighbor out physical we need to help him out spiritual also, we need to share how a good God has helped us out in our walk with Jesus, and then let the Holy Spirit to work on the neighbor the rest of the time.  When we share God to our neighbor we are showing how we care for his spirit and soul.

Jesus Teaches

Good Day To Everyone:

    I would like to look at Matthew 4:18-22, which reads - 18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

21 Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

This part of Matthew's Gospel is where Jesus started his ministry of calling and teaching his disciples.  I would like to point out when Jesus called, his disciples listened and they did follow him.  When a person follows Jesus he must follow him all the way, if Jesus wants you to give up on what you own, then you must give up like the sons of Zebedee did, they left there fishing business, to follow Jesus. 

Jesus taught his disciples using different means.  Some of those means where story telling, lecturing, discussions and Q&A with his disciples.  To follow Jesus you must follow his examples of what he taught, some of which are to obay Jesus commandments, to pray in a special way, to follow what Jesus had to say, and to serve or to help when needed.

In the next 3 or 4 weeks I will being looking more closely at these four instructions that Jesus gave his disciples.  Until then I hope you all have a good day.

Pick Up Your Cross And Follow Me!

Hello To Everyone:

I would like to look at Luke 9:23 - Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

In my last post we found out that the God set up a system that all saved people must be like his son Jesus Christ.  In this post I want to start showing how that process is to take place. 

Lets now look at our first verse of this post, Luke 9:23.  If you can see its broken down into 4 sections.  The 1st section is where Jesus is asking the question "If anyone desires to come after me".  Jesus knows what God wants of his children after they get saved, and because of this Jesus knows he can not forse the issue, this is why salvation is a free gift.  So as a free gift, Jesus asks the question "If", not you must but "If", he knows that people are going to follow him and he want's to show them how to do it. 

The 2nd section Jesus wants us to deny ourself's.  What he is saying is that we must forget what we did in the past and to start fresh following his way of life.  This process is not easy but if we want to follow Jesus we must start turning off our old self and start working on a new self.

The 3rd section Jesus is telling us how to start this process of turning our life around.  If you remember God made man in his image.  We also know that God is a spirit and does not have a physical body as we know of.  The image that God made was our inside soul or our spirit in his image.  Of course this was all before Adam and Eve mested up God's plans.  Ever since our sinful fall God has been working with man to fix us up the way he wants us to be, this is why we must take up our cross on a daily basis, yes I mean we need to do this ever day of our physical life.  When I think of carring a cross, I think of it being used for my death on it.  This is some what true, to what we have to do spiritally speaking.  Our old spirit the one that allways sinned and turned from God, had to be put to death so we can take the shape of the Holy Spirit that came to live with us when we asked God into our lives.  By taking up our cross and dieing on a daily basis then the Holy Spirit can be in charge of our spirit instead of our old spirit would be in charge.  The Apostle Paul looked at this process as a different challenge.  Lets look at 2 Timothy 4:7,8 -  I have  fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.  In this passage St Paul is running a race, and if he wins then there is a crown given to him or anyone whom wins the race, gets a crown from the Lord Jesus in due time.  Either we carry a cross or we run a race, we as christians has a daily job of changing who we are into what God the Father wants us to be.

The 4th and last section is Jesus telling us we need to do all of these things and then to follow his examples for a better life.

Calvinism

Good Day To All Of You.  I haven’t been around lately for posting, but thank God I’m back.  In the last 5 or 6 months I’ve been fighting with my consciousness  on a bible topic.  The topic that I’ve been fighting with is brought up by John Calvin, a theologian that had a different view point of salvation from that of what I was taught from the bible.

          I would like to give my thought on the verse that Mr Calvin uses to back up his way of thinking.  The verse comes from Romans 8:29, which reads, ²⁹ For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Mr Calvin belives that seeing that God does know very thing that happens before it does happen, that God will pick and choose who will be saved before the time of that person being saved.  I had the problem with that way of thinking because if that was true than why did Jesus die on the cross.  It would be to easy for God to say you’re a good person and you’re a bad person even before they where born into this world.  I’m sorry I can’t believe that the passage was saying that.  I see it as God set up this world, in the beginning of time to follow a life style pleasing to God.  We all know that Adam and Eve messed that life up and we have the world as it is today.  God wants his children that truly except Jesus Christ as there personal savior, to live a life style very close to the one that Adam and Eve had at the beginning of time.  God wants us to follow Jesus and use his example of different things that Jesus did when he walked the earth before his death on the cross.  If we followed what Jesus taught then we can be like Jesus is today a son of God the Father.

I don’t know about you but I would like to be one of God’s children, I just have to keep on working at it daily.  In the next few weeks I would be writing about how to follow Jesus so we to can be son’s of God.

Who Do You Say Jesus Is?

 Good morning to all of you.  I would like to take a few minutes to look at Jesus Christ.  Lets start by looking at Mark 8:27-30 which reads "27 And Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?” 28 And they told him, “John the Baptist; and others say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.” 29 And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, “You are the Christ.” 30 And he strictly charged them to tell no one about him."  If you can see Jesus asks his disciples who does the people say he is, they answered, John the Baptist, Elijah or one of the other prophets.  Jesus then asks Peter who do you say I am and Peter answered the Christ.(Messiah)  Peter gave the right answer, Jesus is the Messiah the one to come to save the people of Israel.
    There is another way of looking at this passage, which I would like look at.  Let's look at Jesus for a minute, we know that he is the personal son of God the Father.  In John 14:7 Jesus tells us, "If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him."  Jesus tells his followers that he is God because he wanted to let them know who he is in the relationship to God the Father.  Let's look a God the Father for a moment, we know that God the Father is the creator of heaven and earth, he also created man in his own image.  God also knows everything about his creation and everyone on it.  NO One can hide from God's eyes or eares.  Life in the past is called history, and we all know that seeing God created the heavens and the earth, he also wrote the oldest history book in existence today.  If all of this is true and I'm saying that it is true because its written in the Holy Bible, the God the father is also God the son, and they both see and know everything that's needed to be known. 
    Ok here's my point Jesus did not have to ask his disciples who he was, you see he already knew the answer.  Jesus was doing two things by asking this question, first of all he made the disciples think about the answer, secondly he wanted us the reader of John 14:7 to think of the question and to think of Jesus and who he is and what he can do, if we only ask for his help.  I have the problem of asking for Jesus help, when its to late.  I hope that all of you are smarter then I am and ask for Jesus help long before you need it.

KNOCKING ON GOD'S DOOR!

Good Morning to Everyone:

I would like to give you my story of Knocking On God's Door.  I want to start by looking at a verse in the Gospel of Matthew 7:7 which reads "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."  This past winter I asked to God's help, I was in so much pain with 4 Bladder Stones, I was bleeding internally and I was in a lot of pain.  No one in there right mind wants stones in there Bladder.  I was in so much pain that I had a friend here in Washington CH, Oh along with a large amount of his friends at his church where praying for me.  I thank God for my friend and his friends.  I personally prayed for surgery to get rid of the stones God did come through and I had surgery on the 17th of April of this year.  Before I went into the operating room I asked God to take good care the the operating team at the hospital.  Well God did get me through and he did take care of the team, you see they couldn't get a vane in neither of my arms for the IV, so they had to put the IV in my upper right hand corner of my chest bone.  Boy did that hurt, they called it mainling my vane.  I do thank God for all of my friends, the operating team, and specially God himself without him on my side I could not have made it through the surgery.  All this time I was praying for God's help I was actually asking and knocking at his door for his help, and I'm glad he was home to answer the door and helped me out.  Thank you my heavenly Father.

God's Word Is Powerful

This morning I would like to start off by saying I received an email from a very good friend of mine. My friend reminded me that God's Word is Powerful. I want to give you two examples from St Pauls letter to the Romans. The first is from Romans 3:9-18 which reads

⁹ What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, ¹⁰ as it is written:

“None is righteous, no, not one;
¹¹ no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
¹² All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one.”
¹³ “Their throat is an open grave;
they use their tongues to deceive.”
“The venom of asps is under their lips.”
¹⁴ “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”
¹⁵ “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
¹⁶ in their paths are ruin and misery,
¹⁷ and the way of peace they have not known.”
¹⁸ “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

In each of these verses God is telling something about each and everyone of us, I'm sorrow to say this but it includes me also a very big sinner. These words should not represent anyone but they do and for my self they scare me 100%. Lets look at another few verses from the same letter to the Romans: 3:21-26 which reads

²¹ But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— ²² the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: ²³ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, ²⁵ whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. ²⁶ It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

These verse remind me that God gave us a free gift of a new life in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus went to the cross so we would not have to be seperated from God the Father no more, we just have to except the fact that we all are sinners and we need that free gift from God to live the way God wants us to live, with God as our adopted Father and Jesus our adopted brother. Talk about powerful words found in the book of Romans. These two are just examples of what the New Testament is all about. But as a sinner I have asked Jesus to come into my life back in 1987. I'm still a sinner but I'm saved by the free gift Of Jesus dieing on the cross so I don't can be justified in God's eyes.

I thank God for Jesus every time I talk with him. What powerful words once I was a sinner and know I'm saved. I still have my share of sins to carry but I'm not being seperated from God because of them. My life is slow changing everyday I see a new person, a person that God is reshaping for the 5oth time in my Christian life. No I'm fare from being perfect but I can few me changing on a daily basis.

EASTER IS COMING

Good Morning to Everyone:

I want to look at St Paul's Letter to the Galations for just a few minutes the verses are Galations 1:3-5 which reads

³ Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, ⁴ who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, ⁵ to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Paul in his writing had a very simple way of putting the important part of God's gospel to the main spot light of the letter that he was writing. I see a few things in these pages the first is that Christ did die for our sins, he had to without his death and resurrection we could not grow in love with God the Father, which he wants from us very much. The second item I see is that we do live in a very evil age, an age that scares me when I think of what people are doing to God's churches. Without the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we could not have any body of belivevers better known as the church. I see the church changing in front of me and the only thing that I can do for the true believers is to keep passing on God's true gospel, nothing I made up but what God wrote himself in the New Testament. If I don't keep on passing God's good word then I feel that I'm as lost as the next guy, and I try to thank God everyday for his mercy in my life, which without it I could not call him my heavenly Father.

To my friends God is not giving up on his true church, I ask that you don't give up on God neither, I now that I still Love him today as I did when I gave over my life to him. I hope that you all have a good day knowing that God is still in control.

GOD LOVES HIS WORLD!

Good Morning To Everyone:

This is a beautiful day that God wants you to know about his son Jesus Christ. Today's bible reading is John 3:16,17 which reads - ¹⁶ “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

God wants all of us to know that the word world in these two verses means the people of the earth, remember that God created us in his Spititual body. He created us because he loved us some much that he wanted us to be called children of God, and you know we can be children of God by excepting Jesus that he died on the cross so our spiritual body will never die, but have everlasting life. We can all change everyday by asking Jesus into our life, Jesus will be there to be with you when you call for his help and guildance.
